RWM: Gateway to leisure

Runway Manila is a 220-meter pedestrian bridge that links the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 with the Newport City.

Accessibility is almost always one of the key considerations of anyone looking for a retail, leisure, entertainment, or dining destination.

Scores of earlier studies and surveys have revealed that Filipinos place high value on accessibility, which refers to the ease and convenience of going to a certain destination. And this is reflected on how today’s malls, entertainment complexes, and commercial areas have made it easier for their customers to access their respective establishments.

Still, there are others who clearly trump the rest when it comes to providing accessibility.

Resorts World Manila, the country’s first one-stop, nonstop entertainment and leisure destination, has clearly pulled out all the stops to ensure that accessibility will never be a concern for its guests and customers.

Runway Manila

There are different ways to go to and fro Resorts World Manila, apart from bringing your car or taking a cab.

If you’re coming straight from the airport, you can take a short walk via Runway Manila, a 220-meter pedestrian bridge that links the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 with Newport City, where entertainment, retail and dining options abound.

This P1.5 billion project, which was completed earlier this year, was financed by Alliance Global Group Inc., one of the largest conglomerates that has interests in the tourism and gaming sector, food and beverage industry, real estate, and quick service restaurants.

Accessible to the public and free of charge, this project formed part of AGI’s commitment to work with the Philippine government in promoting Philippine tourism by providing tourists and visitors with a convenient and seamless travel experience in the country.

Apart from providing a direct link to the Resorts World entertainment complex, the bridge will notably “contribute to easing the traffic situation in the area. Instead of travel times that can reach over an hour just to exit the NAIA Terminal 3 area, the average person using Runway Manila can walk to Newport City in a few minutes.”

Making such an alternative available and freely accessible to the public can lessen dependence on motor vehicles to travel the short distance between the two tourist hotspots.

P2P bus service

In September this year, the Department of Transportation (DOTr), in partnership with the Genesis Transport Service Inc. (GTSI), launched a bus service program that can ferry passengers from the Clark International Airport in Pampanga to NAIA 3.

According to an official statement, this move was meant to provide “convenient transportation from the Clark International Airport to NAIA as the government plans to transfer flights between the two airports, while helping decongest traffic in Metro Manila.”

The P2P bus service program stops at Resorts World Manila, giving guests from Central Luzon the chance to experience the recreational thrills that the entertainment complex offers.

However, the P2P bus service program also stops at Resorts World Manila, which means that guests from Central Luzon can readily revel in the recreational thrills, world-class performances, unique events, and exciting lifestyle options that can be had within this entertainment complex.

They can now easily visit what was touted to be a “world-class showcase for Philippine tourism and hospitality” with much ease and convenience.

The trip from Clark to Resorts World Manila costs only P350, with bus amenities including reclining seats, Wi-Fi, GPS systems, and closed circuit televisions for security, among other safety features
