GOINGS ON: Citi volunteers sign up anew for DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela

This year, over 1,800 bankers from Citi Philippines along with members of their families signed up for Brigada Eskwela, a private-public partnership initiated by the Department of Education to prepare public schools for a new school year.

Citi volunteers, including their CEO Aftab Ahmed, repaired and painted desks and chairs, as well as cleaned classrooms at public schools in Metro Manila and Metro Cebu including Captain H. Francisco Elementary School and Santo Niño Elementary School (SNES) in Marikina City.

The volunteers took part in Citi’s annual Global Community Day, where employees are invited to give back in various service projects.

Citi partnered with three non-profit organizations, including the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), in undertaking the Brigada activities.

AIA Group named world’s top MDRT company

AIA Group Limited, the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group, announced the unprecedented achievement of becoming the only company in the world to have achieved the largest number of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) members for three consecutive years.

A record total of 8,324 AIA agents and agency leaders were registered as MDRT members as of July 1, 2017, representing an increase of 46 per cent in members from 2016 and a tremendous 460 percent growth since the Company’s IPO in 2010.
