Globe Business, the corporate information and communications technology (ICT) arm of Globe Telecom, is once again gathering the country’s top business and enterprise leaders for a day of insightful learning, discussion, and sharing of best practices on how innovation and disruption can help sustain a corporation’s competitiveness and relevance in the digital age.
This year, the Leadership Innovation (Lead-In)-formerly the Enterprise Innovation Forum (EIF), brings together thought leaders and speakers to instill the importance of going beyond business and disrupting operations through leadership with purpose. With the target audience in mind, the Lead-In aims to empower enterprises to act on their business purpose and to partake in initiatives that build the nation.
The Lead-In urges enterprises to see more and recognize an opportunity to create bigger impact, and contribute to the development of the country by staying competitive and constantly evolving in their respective industries. It also pushes companies to be responsive and adaptive in the face of challenging, fast, and unpredictable circumstances that they face today.
“Globe Business’ refresh of the EIF and its maiden voyage of the Lead-In is a testament to our deepening relationship with our customers in the ever-changing landscape of Digitalization. We believe that business is not just about what you get but it is also about what you give to the nation. Globe Business goes beyond the four corners of our offices and we look at how we can contribute to nation building,” said Peter Maquera, Globe Senior Vice President for the Enterprise Group.
Sharing insights from individuals and teams at leading organizations around the world will be Doug Lipp, the Lead-In keynote speaker. Lipp will discuss “Leadership and Service Magic: 7 ways to Unlock Bigness Beyond Business”.
Doug Lipp is a distinguished international consultant, eight-time author, and part of the start-up team that helped create the first international Disney University at Tokyo Disneyland. He has 30 plus years of combined experience at Disney and in private practice.
Brian Cu, Country Head of Grab Philippines and Barry Lerner, South Pacific Regional CIO of Huawei, will be featured speakers and will talk about innovations that change people’s lives and way of living, specifically how Grab revolutionized the transportation model and how Huawei advocates for smarter and future cities.
The Lead-In which will be held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom on October 24, with the theme “Unlocking the Bigness Beyond Business” is Globe Business’ way of challenging its partners and clients to go beyond their own “why” — go beyond their own business, and take part in the bigger purpose of helping build a better nation.
Globe Business holds the annual EIF for leaders and corporations to participate in an insightful learning session and sharing of best practices that capitalize on innovation to stay ahead of competition and become role models in their respective industries.
Last year’s EIF changed the discourse and delved deeper into the foundations of a great business, namely Passion and Purpose. From thereon, it shifted perspectives on why enterprises do business and it transformed into the Lead-In.
