They took vintage elements the desert resort city is known for and combined it with their signature aesthetics of contemporary glamour, thus creating a collection with finesse eclecticism making it relevant to Manila’s growing curiosity in all things stylish and curated.
To celebrate this milestone, Moss Manila Home collaborated with three of its existing clients to create their own version of a Palm Springs-inspired furniture piece to complete the 10-piece collection.
Guided by the key elements of pleating, channeled tufting, the stark contrast of soft pink and rich green hues, visual linear chevron-like patterns and luxe materials like marble elements, Camille Co, Rissa Mananquil Trillo, and yours truly, fluidly translate the Palms Springs feel, creating standout pieces that are unique, stylish and functional.
Camille Co
Having started her own clothing line, Camille has always been inclined to the world of design, fashion, and art.
She felt honored and privileged to design together a furniture of her own that speaks to her style. The channeled bench with a mini marble table perfectly suits her room and her needs.
“Millennial and functional” are few words she can think of to describe the perfect piece that complements her room.
Rissa Mananquil Trillo
The three words Rissa would use to describe the bar cabinet she co-created are functional, modern, and beautiful.
“Our home is like a little museum, where even everyday things feel like little works of art. I didn’t want a furniture piece that looked like a cabinet. I wanted something that looked like a sculpture,” she explains.
The art unfolds when you open the panels to reveal wine racks, shelf space, and a mini bar counter. With a rich green piano finish and champagne gold legs, it’s definitely a furniture piece that raises the bar.
Tessa Prieto-Valdes
Being an interior designer myself and having worked previously with Cyndi Fernandez-Beltran, one of the principal designers of Moss Manila Home, this collaboration was a fun and natural creative process. My style is so eclectic. What Moss Manila Home does is put some sense, rhyme and reason to my space.
I have multiple ideas, but they make them cohesive in one space, just like this piece. I chose a pink marble top to complement the white and gold chevron pattern on the cabinet doors. My love for entertaining guests in my home also inspired me to create this piece and showcase my own personal style.
