The urbanAthletics, a leading street lifestyle retailer known for its meticulous selection of sneakers and apparel from sought-after brands, had unveiled a new design for its flagship store in Greenbelt 3.

The refashioned store in Makati City follows the urban-industrial look with a dramatic and inspiring design that was first introduced in its boutique at S. Maison in Conrad. With its sleek, spacious design, this street lifestyle store is indeed taking the sneaker shopping experience to another level.

“We wanted the new stores to establish urbanAthletics’ retail and brand identity, separating it from all the other sneaker boutiques in the country. The new design of our stores reflects our commitment to elevating customer experience to a new level,” said Toby Claudio, president of Quorum International Inc., the parent firm of urbanAthletics.

“When clients enter the space, we want them to feel like they are at the heart of the sneaker culture. We want them to feel the passion that urbanAthletics has for its well-curated selection of sneakers in a modern urban space that inspires creativity and individuality,” Claudio explained.

Space Encounters, a firm that specializes in interior branding and furniture production, led the creative execution of the new urbanAthletics store, taking inspiration from the brand’s image and culture-street-smart with polished class.

Influenced by the new nomadic architecture, the new store is an interpretation of a modern urban jungle with sleek cement walls and floors and metal surfaces. The UA skeletal igloo is both a focal point and a brand identifier, while the architectural tree adds height to the space.

Aiming for modern and dynamic while still championing the products, the design elements do not take away from the sneakers but add to elevating the products as if they were art pieces in a museum.

Meanwhile, the lighting focuses on the products, and the cement walls make the design and colors stand out.
