Peso returns to 51:$1 level

After two days of trading at the 50:$1 level, the peso weakened on Thursday to close at 51.08:$1.

The peso closed at 50.985:$1 last Wednesday and 50.915:$1 last Tuesday.

At the Philippine Dealing System, the peso reached an intraday low 51.2:$1 and a high of 51:$1 after opening at 51.15:$1.

The total volume traded declined to $563.8 million from Thursday’s $655 million. /je
