AirAsia PH flies to Vietnam

Philippines Air Asia is launching direct flights to Vietnam in November.

AirAsia Philippines CEO Dexter Comendador said the move was “part of our commitment to continue bringing the Philippines closer to neighboring cities within the Asean region.”

The airline said booking options for this route opened Wednesday, with special fares set for those traveling between Nov. 17-21.

“AirAsia is the only airline that directly services all 10 Asean countries with established operations in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia,” Comendador added.

“Last year, the AirAsia Group carried 13.4 million people within Asean and we aim to continue bringing the region closer together via inter-Asean connectivity,” he said.

AirAsia said it would serve the Manila-Ho Chi Minh route with three flights weekly.

The move was in step with the AirAsia Group’s goal for wider operational links within the region.
