AirAsia offers P990 introductory fare for Manila-Ho Chi Minh flights

AirAsia passengers can enjoy P990 all-in fare rate from Manila to Ho Chih Minh in Vietnam as the budget airline company introduced on Tuesday its direct flights between the two cities.

All-in fares from as low as P990 for Manila-Ho Chi Minh route are now available for booking on Tuesday, Sept. 19, until Oct. 8 on airasia.com and the airline’s mobile app, the airline said in a statement.

The introductory promo fares are available for travel period from November 17, 2017, to November 21, 2018, it added.

“We are thrilled to announce that we will start servicing direct flights from Manila to Ho Chi Minh in November as part of our commitment to continue bringing the Philippines closer to neighboring cities within the Asean region,” AirAsia Philippines CEO Captain Dexter Comendador said.

AirAsia will service Manila-Ho Chi Minh route with three flights weekly—every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Comendador said AirAsia is the only airline that directly services all 10 Asean countries with established operations in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

“Last year, the AirAsia Group carried 13.4 million people within Asean and we aim to continue bringing the region closer together via inter-Asean connectivity,” he added.

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is located in the southern part of Vietnam.

The city is famous for its wide variety of food, including Vietnamese iced coffee or “Ca Phe Sua Da,” the famous baguette sandwich, “Banh Mi,” or the broken rice style dish topped with grilled meat called “Com Tam.”

The city is also home to the famous historical and architectural places such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Opera House, Jade Emperor Pagoda and temples, the War Remnants museum and the famed Cu Chi tunnels. /jpv
