Airbus is offering its new generation of helicopters to the Department of National Defense and the Armed Forces of the Philippines to help modernize the military and develop the country’s aerospace industry.
Officials of Airbus Helicopters Philippines Inc. (AHPI) showed the company’s latest choppers, the H130 and H145, during a media presentation at its hangar at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
AHPI managing director Lionel de Maupeou said company officials have already briefed the technical working groups from the DND and AFP and got encouraging results.
Airbus choppers cost as low as $3 million and as high as $60 million. —Jerome Aning
