Peso weakens to fresh near 11-year low of 51.49:$1
The peso on Friday further weakened to close at 51.49:$1 from 51.355:$1 last Thursday.
It was a fresh almost 11-year low, the weakest since Aug. 24, 2006’s 51.6:$1.

At the Philippine Dealing System, the peso reached an intraday low of 51.63:$1 and a high of 51.39:$1 after opening at 51.45:$1.
The total volume traded jumped to $1.006 billion from Thursday’s $688 million. JPV
