After exiting in Oct., L300 to return in ’19

/ 05:36 AM July 31, 2017

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) would bring back to the market the L300 equipped with a Euro-4 compliant engine in 2019, or one and a half years after its scheduled phaseout in October this year.

The L300 will return after a “development issue” is sorted out, said MMPC first VP for marketing Froilan G. Dytianquin. He, however, could not say the same for the Adventure.
Both models, which are being produced here, would be phased out this year.

The shift to Euro4 comes amidst a move toward more environment friendly vehicles, an initiative that would put vehicles equipped with dated engines out of the market.

“The L300 will make a comeback as a Euro4 (vehicle) after one and half years. So that’s around 2019,” he told reporters last week.
