MANILA — The peso shed on Wednesday, 17 centavos to close at 50.94:$1 from 50.77:$1 last Tuesday.
The domestic currency remained at an almost 11-year low, as it was the weakest close since Aug. 30, 2006’s 50.945:$1.
At the Philippine Dealing System, the peso reached an intraday low of 50.95:$1 and a high of 50.735:$1 after opening at 50.75:$1.
The total volume traded declined to $523 million from Tuesday’s $653 million. SFM
