BPI Family has new president
The country’s leading thrift bank BPI Family Savings Bank has named veteran banker Ma. Cristina “Ginbee” Go as its new president effective June 1.
Go took over the post vacated by Natividad Alejo, who was in turn appointed chair of Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) online banking subsidiary, BPI Direct BanKo Inc., a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Wednesday read.
Go brings over 16 years of banking experience, 13 of which were with BPI. For 11 years, she headed BPI’s payments and unsecured lending group, eventually becoming head of retail loans at BPI Family. —DORIS DUMLAO-ABADILLA
