Hino sees more sales
Hino Motors Philippines Corp. (HMP), one of the country’s largest volume sellers of trucks and buses, wants to sell 3,500 to 4,000 units by yearend, an increase of between 20 and 40 percent, on the back of the government’s infrastructure development push.
HMP chair Vicente T. Mills, Jr. told reporters in a chance interview on Wednesday that the company had a positive outlook for this year.
Joint data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) suggest that HMP wants to replicate the growth enjoyed in 2016.
HMP sold 2,877 units last year, up by 42.8 percent from 2,015 units in 2015.
