PwC, BCYF to recognize developmental social enterprises for the 3rd year

Isla Lipana & Co., the Philippine member firm of the PwC global network (PwC Philippines), and CSR thought leader Benita & Catalino Yap Foundation (BCY Foundation) jointly launched the third year of the Developmental Social Enterprise Awards (DSE Awards).

The DSE Awards aims to recognize Filipino businesses committed to social objectives through its enterprise activities. PwC and BCYF are looking for businesses that embody the values of citizenship, sustainability and social responsibility that put central importance on human dignity.

Alexander Cabrera, chair and senior partner of PwC Philippines, said: “We at PwC are sustaining our momentum in supporting these developmental social enterprises (DSEs). We’ve seen firsthand how they spark inclusion and development in the marginalized sector. We can help more enterprises and are more than excited to be part of their growth.”

“This year’s awards will be more about the stories behind each DSE and the impact they have made so far. It is important to know how change was made even if the enterprises find measuring their impact challenging,” said Antonio Yap, chair of the BCY Foundation.

The DSE Awards is looking for social enterprises (corporation, partnership or individual) in the Philippines in operation for at least two years. DSEs may apply at www.dseawards.com.
