Celebrating excellence at FPLA

06:00 PM March 03, 2017

It has often been said that “Excellence is not about being the best, but doing your best.” First Pacific Leadership Academy (FPLA), as an academic institution that educates and molds future leaders, also recognizes those within its institution who embody the exceptional qualities of a leader. In whatever role, these people have made an indelible mark with their passion, dedication and hard work.

At the recent FPLA 2016 Circle of Excellence Awards Night, held in Antipolo, on Jan. 20, 2017, FPLA executive management honored employees who have inspired and have gone over and beyond their roles.

“The year 2016 was filled with numerous challenges, and we proved ourselves willing to see through any project or goal despite the hurdles,” shared General Manager and Executive Director Roy Agustin K. Evalle in the vernacular. “It was a colorful year, filled with memories. Looking back, we can see how much we have grown as an academic institution and family. None of the success of FPLA would have been possible without our loyal, hardworking employees. It was they who also believed and helped realize the vision.”

FPLA’s Head for Human Resource & Development Rommel H. del Rosario and Head for Innovations & Digital Programs Niño Enrico C. Cabredo shared the same gratitude for their teams and rallied more enthusiasm for the year ahead.

“I, along with the other executives, are full of gratitude. We are thankful to all those who have helped achieve the dream. It was not an easy task to say the least, and the work continues,” shared del Rosario. “Following tradition, on this day, we honor all those distinguished employees who have selflessly shared their talents, time and passion in building FPLA into what it is today – a renowned corporate university

Every work day at FPLA is about furthering the goals and realizing the dream. On the Circle of Excellence Awards Night, FPLA sets aside the day to recognize those who have gone over and beyond the call of duty. Cabredo shared in his rousing speech about hardwork and excellence: “Excellence without innovation is temporary. Innovation without excellence is ordinary. Excellence and Innovation defines today’s generation. Excellence in Innovation molds the next.”

In the Sales department, Maria Paz D. Pascua and Carmela P. Young ( second and third placers, respectively), were honored for their resourcefulness and dedication in helping FPLA reach their revenue goals for the year. Maria Suzette A. Valmonte, on the other hand, was honored with the top prize and the distinguished Sales Achievement Award.

Philip Iñigo N. Cañizares of Marketing and Arlene D. Tungul of Finance (Circle of Excellence Award nominees) were lauded for their great contribution and for being an inspiration to their co-workers and superiors. But it was Claro Abelardo L. Lagman from the Sales Department who took home the illustrious Circle of Excellence Award.

“We’d like to thank again these esteemed individuals for all their support. They work hard, not expecting praise or notice in return, but we recognize them today for being an inspiration to all of us. We are grateful for their loyalty, and we look forward to building a brighter future with them and the rest of the FPLA family,” ended Evalle.
