The Ateneo de Manila University team, composed of Raynard Rafael O. Lao, John Benedict P. Capucao and Mikael Alafriz, went home with a trophy and a cash prize of P100,000 plus P50,000 for the faculty, when it topped PwC’s M&A Challenge.
In recognizing the winners, Alexander Cabrera, Chairman and Senior Partner of PwC Philippines, said: “The aptitude shown by the finalists during the oral presentations has been truly impressive. We hope that the M&A Challenge has helped bridge academic concepts and real-life practice, paving the way for more M&A-savvy talents to enter the corporate world.”
The competition ran from August to November 2016, with 74 teams participating from 22 universities.
Seminar on baking, operating bakeries set
The Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program (GTSDP) will conduct a one-day seminar on baking different types of cakes and breads.
Participants will also learn how to open and operate a bakery.
The seminar will be held on Feb. 11, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the UPIS Bldg., University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.
Participants will be given a certificate of training right after the seminar.
Lunch, snacks, hand-outs and all the raw materials needed for actual demo will be provided.
