Eton to build hotel in Quezon City CBD
MANILA, Philippines—Tycoon Lucio Tan-led Eton Properties Philippines seeks to fast-track progress in its 12-hectare Quezon City township development Eton Centris by building a 250-room businessmen’s hotel alongside the first luxury residential project in the area.
Eton president Danilo Ignacio also announced that the first of three master-planned towers of upscale development Ascent would soon rise in Eton Centris, which is being groomed to be the gateway to an upcoming Triangle Park central business district (CBD). “Ascent promises residents a luxurious lifestyle in an exceptional location. The project answers increasing demand for a strategically located address in Quezon City,” Ignacio said.
The property firm also plans to expand into the hotel business and is now in talks with a Singaporean group to manage the forthcoming boutique hotel in Eton Centris. “We’re also in discussion for another possible hotel in Makati and another one in Ortigas,” Ignacio said.
The upcoming hotel in Eton Centris is part of the master plan for the township project, one of the newest commercial hubs in Quezon City.
Taking advantage of the robust property market, Eton also has started selling upscale residential units in the first tower of Ascent. This building will have 230 units starting from 29-square-meter studio units.
Targeting young upwardly mobile professionals, newlyweds and early nesters, Ascent will also feature one-, two- and three-bedroom units. The units are priced at P2.9 million for the studio units, P3.7 million for the one-bedroom units, P7.1 million for the two-bedroom units and P11 million for the three-bedroom units.

A typical floor at the building’s low zone has a maximum of only 16 units. The building’s upper zone houses only six units, thus seen offering expansive living spaces.
Ascent is also designed to feature an iconic glass facade and spacious common areas. It will have two-story Sky Gardens intended to give residents a green oasis inside the tower. The Sky Gardens are seen providing a flourishing environment of green with spacious gardens and inspiring open spaces amid towering vistas of the metropolis.
