Lawyer Mel Racela, deputy director and head of BSP’s Anti-Money Laundering Special Group, was appointed officer-in-charge of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC). He will replace Julia Bacay-Abad, who resigns today (Tuesday) after 10 years at the helm of the country’s dirty money watchdog.
