According to Feng Shui master Johnson Chua, one need not buy all the charms and crystals available in the market or knock down that decade old structure just to attract good fortune.
At the very least, one needs to understand the basics of Feng Shui and have five things that would help enhance the most important elements in one’s personal life.
To help guide you in the Year of the Rooster, here are some of the charms recommended by Chua.
Charms and crystals
Everyone wants harmony within their homes and personal lives. To attract this, Chua recommended the use of crystals like amethyst and rose quartz, as these are believed to enhance harmony.

This, according to Chua, is used as a Feng Shui cure to attract the energy of wealth and prosperity in every home. The prosperity tree is best displayed in the living and dining room or in your office.
Prosperity basket
To complete your money luck, Chua recommends having both the prosperity tree and and the prosperity basket to make sure nothing is lost or put to waste. Prosperity baskets are like bowls where gold and money are kept, so if you have this is your possession, you don’t just attract money, you save it as well.
Metals
Everyone needs protection from bad luck and misfortune and metals seem to do the trick. For protection, there are the so-called metal cures like the wind chimes and the metal pagoda that you can put on display in your house.
Gourd
The gourd in Feng Shui is believed to absorb illness energies and help aid in recovery. One of the most popular cures revered by Feng Shui practitioners, the gourd symbolizes longevity and good health, and is likewise believed to bring prosperity and abundance of blessings.
