Christmas in the Philippines has always been a special occasion. It has been a season for families to spend time together, and enjoy the pageantry and solemnity of Christmas.
We have communities that have organized belen-making contests, Christmas light shows, exchanging of gifts, and outreach programs.
Providing families with a Christmas filled with opportunities to spend time together will hopefully make the season more meaningful for them.
At PRO-FRIENDS, we know that a sense of belonging is an important need for any individual. Having shelter or a home to go to is a basic need, but an individual’s desire for kinship is something that we always take into consideration.

However, more than building houses, we want to build living spaces for families where they can belong in communities that cater to their needs and enhance their everyday living.
More than a house, we want to provide families with a complete home. I have often observed that the people who need the most help have the simplest wishes—a roof over their heads, food in their bellies, and clothes on their backs or it can also be as simple as having someone to talk to and listen to them.
This Christmas, I wish for everyone to feel the love and warmth of this holiday season especially for those who need it the most.
