Global hospitality company Dusit International will build its first resort in the country in the form of dusitD2 Resort—a hotel and residential project located within the upcoming Waves Beach Club and Residences development in San Juan, La Union.

Developed in partnership with RCL Realty and Consulting Services Inc. and Brightbeam Corp., dusitD2 Resort will be the first international brand resort located at the Waves Beach Club and Residences.

With an area of 70,000 square meters, Waves Beach Club and Residences is being developed as a premium Malibu-inspired resort complete with a lifestyle, commercial, and residential hub located on the beachfront of Northern Luzon’s surfing capital.

The project is slated to open by the first quarter of 2019.

DusitD2 Resort, San Juan will sit at the front of the project and feature an eight-story hotel with 174 rooms and two levels of basement parking. Facilities will include a gym, spa, swimming pool, two restaurants, two bars, and a 1,000-capacity function room. Guests will have direct access the property’s private beach in Urbiztondo, which is a popular surfing spot.

DusitD2 Resort, San Juan will also offer residential units divided between two to three condominium towers, as well as a minimum of 50 villas.

In keeping up with the dusitD2 brand, each property will combine modern design, high-tech connectivity and efficient, modern conveniences to meet the needs of today’s travelers.

“The arrival of dusitD2 branded properties in La Union signifies positive growth in the real estate and property development industry of Region 1,” Philippine Hoteliers Inc. vice chair and president Evelyn Singson said, “The project is the first of its kind in the area and is expected to bring in more tourists, second-home buyers, and other forms of investments to the area.”

RCL Realty and Consulting Services, Inc chair and CEO Fausto Liriano said one of the selling points of Waves Beach Club and Residences was its address.

“With its strategic location just a few minutes away from the main road and highway, it is highly accessible to hospitals, schools, banks, stores, restaurants, and other places of interest,” he said, “We are confident that the dusitD2 Resort, San Juan will be a huge success.”
