I live in a 27 square meter (sqm) pad, which is a really a small space. I have to maximize every square meter of it. I have here a small home office, an entertainment area, living room, kitchen, dining area, bedroom and bathroom.
I also had to make sure I have enough storage for all my stuff (shoes, luggage, cooking supplies) and so we built floor-to-ceil ing storage for all my personal items.
My space transforms depending on the use. For instance, my entertainment area can serve as my dining table—sort of a transformer type of space. I also have stackable chairs to save on space.
The design is modern industrial and has that minimalist vibe. I don’t want clutter in my space so everything is organized.
I also love to travel, as reflected in my choice of artworks. I have a series of abstract paintings done by a local artist, who he used the map of Chicago, my favorite city. I have a poster inside my bathroom which has some of Chicago’s street names. I also have an inexpensive canvas artwork of New York’s skyline.
Aside from traveling, I also love reading books that’s why I have a mini library next to my home office. I squeezed in everything in this tiny space. I also hung a bike next to my sofa since I don’t have any more space for it.
My favorite part of my space is my living room. This is where I usually hang out to watch television, and even work. All furniture in my space is custom-built to make sure that everything fits. I even managed to put in a sectional sofa.
