/ 05:51 AM October 26, 2016

Robinsons Land Corp. is testing anew the luxury residential condominium market in the Ortigas Business District, with the launch of its first project in partnership with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, which is behind the Westin chain of hotels.

The project, unveiled on Monday, would be called the Residences at the Westin Manila Sonata Place, a 50-floor tower that would offer one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
The Residences will also offer penthouse units each averaging 250 square meters in floor area.

The project will be built alongside the 31-floor The Westin Manila Sonata Place hotel. The hotel and condominium tower would be finished by 2019, and 2021, respectively, RLC general manager Henry Yap said.

The project would be priced around P180,000 per square meter, he said. Yap said the units had a sales value of about P6 billion.

During the briefing, officials said the building’s units were priced similar to other upscale properties in the area, such as the residential towers built by Shang Properties Inc.

Yap said this project was in line with the company’s plan to “upgrade” its Luxuria portfolio, RLC’s development arm that target the upscale market.
