A Bullish visit to Singapore
Watching a Formula One Grand Prix run on the floodlit streets of Singapore is a thrilling experience, and one fan will get even more excitement as he will get to visit the current championship-leading team, Red Bull Racing at their Singapore GP pit garage.
Singapore GP Ltd Pte, race promoters of the world’s only Formula One night race, in cooperation with Inquirer Motoring raffled of a very rare chance to visit leading Formula One team Red Bull Racing’s pit garage as a giveaway. The raffle was open to all holders of three-day Singapore GP tickets that were purchased from Philippine overseas ticketing agents: Red Rock Travel, Ticketnet, and Racegear. Roland Carreon’s name was picked at random from a list of over a hundred race ticketholders collected from the SGP overseas ticketing agents and looks forward to this weekend’s race.
Aside from this, Singapore GP Ltd Pte also awarded a Singapore GP trip, including three room nights, race tickets to the 2011 Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, and the special visit, to race fan Enrico Ylanan.
Ylanan, a 20-year old college student majoring in Information Systems at De La Salle Canlubang, said he stumbled onto the Inquirer promo while browsing the internet. Being an avid motorsports fan, he joined the promotion and was elated to win the package.
The race weekend runs from 23rd to 25th of September on the Marina Bay street circuit. Aside from wall-to-wall racing, the Grand Prix weekend includes more than $5 million worth of entertainment. The highlight is Grammy-award winning rock band Linkin Park, who will perform at the Padang main stage on race day, Sunday. Other performers include Shaggy, Rick Astley, and the Philippines’ own Charice.
Race viewers thus have access to world-class entertainment, all for ticket prices that start for as low as S$38 for a Zone 4 Friday Walkabout pass. A three-day Premiere Walkabout ticket averages S$149 and offers access to all zones and performances within the race circuit park.
