My comfort zone would be at home with my family because it’s where love and acceptance manifest unconditionally. Apart from its primary purpose of providing shelter, I also see our home as a place where my wife and I are able to provide a loving and nurturing environment for our girls to grow up and thrive in— which is really what matters most.

It’s important to have a comfort zone because the world can be a pretty crazy place. So many things just seem out of your control and there are so many pressures that we have to deal with. Having a comfort zone just gives you a place where you can forget all that, put up your feet, and let the biggest concern on your mind be—whether someone has cleaned up after the dog.

Being a father to two young girls has really made me realize that a “comfort zone” is really less of a place, than a state of being. It’s being able to give your time and attention to your family and just bask in their love and happiness. Times like these are when I really feel like my heart is at rest, and it can’t get more comfortable than that.
