Creating elegant and sophisticated designs with innovative technology, Dekton, an ultra compact surface made with TSP Technology (Technology of Sintered Particles) has become a popular choice of many homebuilders who want unparalleled performance for their surface counters and wall treatments.

Developed and patented by Cosentino of Spain, Dekton is scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, and highly resistant to extreme heat and fire, making this an excellent option for bar counters and kitchen counter tops. This revolutionary technology makes Dekton’s large format size, thinness, and assurance of extreme levels of performance, possible.

Dekton boasts of zero water absorption and high resistance to UV radiation, making it an ideal outdoor material that can withstand all weather conditions. This feature makes this product ideal for both interior and exterior flooring and cladding applications.

Beautiful designs similar to Calcutta marble, travertine, wood or copper, as well as high gloss and matte solid finish are now possible for exterior applications with Dekton. It is ideal for high traffic areas and is the material of choice for various high profile international projects like HK International Airport and Changi Airport.

The Katha Awards is a component of the Design Week Philippines, a week-long celebration of design through various events and programs scheduled around the Manila FAME trade show.

With the many talents showcased at the fair, the Katha Awards gives distinction to fresh, original, and innovative designs and, in turn, inspiring and encouraging others to bring up the standards of Philippine design and craftsmanship, creating better export products through the skillful use and exploration of the country’s natural resources.

The Katha Awards comprises the categories of Best Product Design which distinguishes innovative designs, each from furniture, homeware and furnishings, holiday décor and gifts, and fashion; Eco-Design Award for products that emulate sustainability and eco-friendliness; and Best Booth Display that recognizes booth designs at Manila FAME that capture smart and effective visual merchandising display.
