Okada Manila is bruited about to set the new gold standard for five-star luxury.  High-project, above-the-fold and iconic best describe this one-of-a-kind project that will occupy 44 hectares of land.

Okada Manila will indeed be the new standard of integrated resorts. Preparations for its first phase are in full blast employing more than 18,000 construction workers to ensure the timely opening of the property by yearend. Okada Manila will not just reshape the Manila skyline but the hospitality and entertainment industries as well.

The project’s first phase will cover the casino floor, two hotel wings, nightclub and beach club, retail area, restaurants and an iconic fountain, which will be one of the largest in the world.

From its architecture to its interior design, every single detail was carefully planned and executed to bring to life chair Kazuo Okada’s vision. “Chairman has been a long-time believer in the potential of the Philippines. This project is a fulfillment of his dream and his biggest gift to the Filipinos yet,” explains Okada Manila chief operating officer Takahiro Usui.

The best and the biggest design and architectural consultants from around the world led by Japanese firm Miurashin Architect + Associates are expected to create an awe-inspiring architectural landmark. For instance, Okada Manila’s distinct exterior feature is the glass façade that glistens bright gold representing abundance, luxury and the hue of Manila Bay’s famed sunset.

Another notable feature of the property is the recently finished sky bridge—a three-level structure that connects the two Y-shaped hotel wings. Strategically located in the exact center of the building, it provides guests an amazing vantage point over Manila Bay and the integrated resort’s $30-million dancing water fountain. The sky bridge will house the Sky Casino and offer a private gaming haven exclusive to VIP guests.

Complete travel destination

Usui said: “The property’s size is incredible in scope. We do not want to focus on a single amenity in the property because we want to offer full range of products and services and be known as a complete travel destination.”

The casino will occupy a total floor area of over 26,000 sqm and provide up to 500 table games and 3,000 Electronic Gaming Machines. It will offer a unique gaming environment and world-class entertainment for all guests to enjoy.

There are 993 rooms in the two-wing hotel ranging from spacious 55 sqm deluxe rooms to luxurious 1.400 sqm villas. In all rooms, guests can appreciate breathtaking views of either the Manila Bay or the property’s iconic fountain. They are also allowed to feast across its 21 food and beverage outlets serving international cuisine from casual to fine dining, making Okada Manila a gourmet paradise.

To provide unsurpassed guest experience, Okada Manila will also be home to the newest and hottest event spot in Asia—a nightclub and beach club. This 9,000 sqm-entertainment venue will be enclosed in a climate controlled glass dome and will feature 33 cabanas and bungalows equipped with amenities such as private jacuzzis, dining rooms, media and karaoke rooms. To be the centerpiece of the dome club is Asia’s first kinetic chandelier with six rings that can create 10,000 special effects and project stunning 3D motion graphics. Meanwhile, its white sand indoor beach club will be the first in Southeast Asia and will rival the largest clubs in the world.

An architectural and technological wonder, Okada Manila’s 800-m circular glass corridor will offer luxury retail space and feature the world’s largest projection mapping attraction. In addition, the property’s spa will be a destination of its own—a hybrid urban escape and wellness retreat with a Wave Dream lounge designed to help guests master the art of tranquil relaxation.

The property’s most iconic feature will be the dancing fountain that rivals the best in Las Vegas and Dubai. It will be the first in the world to implement a 360-degree immersive water projection. The fountain size will be equivalent to 50 Olympic-size swimming pools and the lake will need 178,296,000 million glasses of champagne to fill it up.
