RLC opens Go Hotel in Davao City
Gokongwei-led Robinsons Land Corp. is opening in Davao City today a 183-room Go Hotel, marking the 10th budget hotel under this growing hospitality chain and the biggest provincial branch to date.
RLC is positioning this newest branch in Davao City—the bailiwick of President Duterte—for the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, events) and FIT (free/flexible independent traveler) tourism markets.
In a statement, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts general manager Elizabeth Gregorio said the opening of the latest hotel in the Go Hotels chain in Davao City was “most auspicious” because Davao City was emerging as the prime destination for the MICE, considered one of the strategies of the government to attract more tourists and boost the tourism industry.
Rooms at Go Hotels Davao feature high quality bed and linen, free-WiFi, in-room safe and LED TV while its bathrooms have hot and cold rain and handheld showers, bath towels and free toiletries, RLC said. The new hotel also has a conference room with a capacity to sit 200 persons.
The hotel’s features are seen to appeal to the tech-savvy “FIT” market which is always on the lookout for the best deals when booking online.
“What sets us apart from other hotels based in Davao, is the cozy environment and inviting staff. Go Hotels gives you the feeling of being at home away from home at a very convenient price,” Gregorio said.

“Tourists and beach lovers, will be glad to see that they can be frolicking in the white sands and turquoise waters of Samal Island 20 to 30 minutes from the hotel. “So, regardless of whether you came to Davao for business or vacation, we can offer guests the best of both worlds,” Gregorio noted.
Major malls such as SM Lanang and Robinsons Cybergate Davao are five to 10 minutes away from the hotel while the airport is 20 minutes away.
