US-based global healthcare solutions provider HCCA, now Shearwater Health, has relocated to a larger facility on Bonifacio Global City in Taguig to support its expansion goals.
“Shearwater Health is looking at adding another 600 jobs to its existing employee base of over 1,500 in the next 12 months. This will provide an excellent opportunity for nurses and medical coders in Metro Manila and Metro Cebu,” said Anshum Sinha, the country manager and senior vice president for Philippine operations at Shearwater Health.
HCCA International and HCCA Health Connections have consolidated all of their business operations under a new name, Shearwater Health.
David Bartholomew, Shearwater Health chief executive, said they wanted to have one name that is more reflective of the business.
Shearwater has been recruiting and deploying highly experienced Filipino nurses and other medical professionals to hospitals and healthcare organizations in the US since 2002. It also offers accredited clinical process outsourcing services to clients in the US through efficient medical management services, medical coding and other healthcare-related support services.
The firm’s new 6,450-square meter headquarters located in Net Park Building, which is said to be more than 40 percent larger than its old office in Manila, will have the capability to house 900 seats.
Shearwater Health also has another facility within the Cebu Business Park.
Sinha said the company also have plans of putting up an office in Central Visayas or Mindanao by the first half of 2017.
“Some of the areas that we are looking at are Iloilo, Bacolod, and even Davao. We should be able to finalize the location in the next two to three months,” Sinha said.
