The conference, which carries the theme “HELLO ASEAN! Time to explore.” will give these executives the opportunity to hear and learn from the insights of the conference’s impressive array of speakers, composed mostly of top-tier business experts and marketing practitioners, masters and disrupters. They are the CEOs of Philippine, Asian and global brands that successfully launched or grown their businesses in the ASEAN trade sphere, particularly in the Philippines, widely acknowledged as an emerging Asian economic powerhouse.

Other notable speakers who will give their invaluable insights during the conference include Philippine Airlines (PAL) veteran Jaime J. Bautista, a respected figure in the travel and tourism business who assumed the presidency of PAL in October 2014 after the Lucio Tan Group took over management control of Asia’s longest-running airline.

He will be joined by BrandAsian CEO Joe Baladi, a top-level marketing consultant to some of Asia’s largest companies, Joseph “Chay” Cruel, Vice President of Asia Brewery – Non-Alco Marketing, Business Development and International Business, Prof. Enrique Soriano, Certified Professional Marketer and PMA Agora Awardee for Excellence in Marketing Education, Angelica Suiza, Chief Product and eCommerce Officer at Triple Pte. Ltd., who provided category merchandising strategies for global brand Under Armour in Southeast Asia, and Lucien Dy Tioco, Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing at The Philippine Star and concurrently heads the sales and marketing group for the country’s leading business newspaper, BusinessWorld.
There will also be an accompanying trade exhibit plus opportunities to get immediate business leads through the ASEAN Pavilion which will feature the embassies from other ASEAN member-countries and other guest Asian countries.

Through this conference, the PMA hopes to focus the spotlight on the ASEAN region, seen as the 3rd largest consumer market after China and North America, but still overlooked by companies within the region. Multinational companies have been aware of this potential for some time as even Euromonitor acknowledges this region as one the fastest growing markets in the 21st century. Through its theme “Hello ASEAN”, the 47th NMC aims to shed light on these opportunities especially for those who are motivated by success and growth for their businesses.

The 47th National Marketing Conference, under the auspices of the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA), will be held on July 28-29, 2016 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Newport City, Pasay City.
