MANILA, Philippines – It’s another successful year for the country’s premiere trade show where Filipino creativity fuses with Disruptive Technologies in the 21st Graphic Expo 2016 held at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City on June 02-04, 2016.
Fiera de Manila, Inc. as the organizer of the 21st Graphic Expo 2016, launched ‘FUSION 2016’ in an exhibit spanning 7,500 sqm. with 250 booths, 150 Exhibitors, 12,000 trade visitors and 350 seminar participants. The Expo displayed the latest state-of-the-art technologies in one marketplace of graphic design, creative imaging, photo and video, printing and publishing, signs and out-of-home, multimedia, animation, digital marketing, virtual and augmented reality and many more. These are business solutions that help entrepreneurs and businessmen grow their business and expand their market.
Various special events were presented for 3 days: The Opening Ceremony was hosted by Raine Musngi, ANC/ABS-CBN News Anchor followed by updates and messages from Industry Leaders, such as, Mario H. Babiera, President of Fiera de Manila, Inc. and Photosynthesis, Inc., Danny Yu, 2016 President of Zone V Camera Club and Rodrigo Guevarra, President of Outdoor Advertising Association of the Philippines (OAAP).
The annual Graphic Expo is never complete without the invaluable support of its long time partners – BIG PIX Graphics System, Inc., represented by its General Manager, Ms. Menchie Rodriguez, expressed gratitude to Graphic Expo as their second home, and in her message, “… through the years, you have done tremendously well in keeping Graphic Expo so close to the hearts of a lot of Filipino Printers…” and Ms. Pamela Albar, Department Head Commercial and Industrial Printers, EPSON Philippines Corp., “… this event is the best medium for us to reach out on our loyal customers.”
This year’s ‘Rock Star’, Duncan Ransom, Oscars Award-Winner in VFX and Cinematography in the movie GRAVITY salutes Filipinos through his message, “… I think creativity is natural to Filipinos, I think you have a natural flair… I think it’s something that flows into the creativity of this country.” He also brought the crowd to the Exciting World of Virtual and Augmented Reality in his public presentation held on the third day of the event.
11 Entries from professional and amateur graphic designers made it as finalists and the Board of Judges awarded 7 winners of PHP10,000.00 each and Plaque of Appreciation in the Sampayan ng Bayan T-Shirt Design Contest 2016. They are – Ronidel Jason from Bocaue, Bulacan, Peter Buenavente and Lance Kirby Yaneza of Sta. Mesa, Manila, Rodolfo Vera Cruz, Jr of Imus, Cavite, Santiago Balase of Makati City, Rolando Antonio, Jr. from Bacoor, Cavite and RC Camarines from Tanza, Navotas City.
Several loyal Exhibitors had the opportunity to present their latest and innovative products and services in product demos/launching segment at the Activity Area. Trade Visitors were inspired by fascinating and creative photographs of the 8 Camera Clubs in the Photo Galleries Section – Digital Light Philippines, Lightscapes, Neutral Ground Reborn, Photomarket Philippines, Prima Camera Club, Zone V Camera Club, Wedding and Portrait Photographers of CALABARZON (WPPC) and Wild Bird Photographers of the Philippines (WBPP).
The Wedding and Portrait Photographers of CALABARZON (WPPC) President, Orly Mercado facilitated the Fashion and Glamour Photo Session with the New York Ford Model – Alison Hamilton, Bridal Fashion Show (Louis Pangilinan’s gown designs) and Body Painting.
The DigitALL WorX and Imprintela Digital GMT Designs & Décor led by Mitch Empleo – Ventura, known for the ‘The Fashion of Digital Impressions’ presented an eco-friendly and fabulous digital garment designs in their Annual Fashion Show entitled ‘Heartbreak Warfare’.
The 21st Graphic Expo 2016 conducted Seminar Series which where industry professionals updated and harnessed their skill sets in graphic design, creative imaging, photography, videography, web publishing, digital marketing, multimedia and animation, virtual and augmented reality and t-shirt production.
