Cebu Pacific and sister carrier Cebgo said passenger volume jumped in the first four months of 2016, with a boost coming from the busy summer season.

Both carriers saw their combined passenger traffic jump 10.6 percent to 6.61 million passengers from January to April this year, operating statistics revealed by operator Cebu Air Inc. showed.

Capacity was also up 2.4 percent, meaning the carriers had a combined seat load factor—a measure of flight utilization—of 87.6 percent from 81.1 percent last year.
