Exciting designs
Today, 50 years after its foundation, this Italian company once again confirms its leadership and presents the ultimate products of world-famous designers. Here are some of the exciting designs offered at the B&B Italia Showroom located at the ground and 10th floors of Twenty-Four Seven McKinley Building, 7th Avenue corner 24th St., McKinley Parkway, Bonifacio Global City.
Edouard, a seating system by Antonio Citterio, is a family of innovative padded furniture endowed with powerful aesthetic and functional charm: sofas and sectional seating elements (terminals, corners and chaise longue) designed to create restful areas that suit both the space available and the personal taste. The sofas have been designed to enhance comfort with a wide seat and a high back, which can also be fitted with a headrest, studied to ensure efficient and excellent ergonomic support. Covers are available in a wide range of fabrics and leathers with colored raised stitch in relief that define the structures with an impressive graphic effect.
Balanced contemporary
Also designed by Citterio, Richard is a new seating system that distinguishes itself by its balanced contemporary design, with references to classical atmospheres. Its modular theme is developed by 76 elements in two depths: 93 centimeters for more formal and contained solutions, and 123 cm for larger compositions and more informal seating. The extreme flexibility of the system and the ease with which the different elements can be assembled allows the living space to be interpreted in the most varied configurations—from formal to more relaxed—with seats, benches, ottomans and chaise longue. The wide range of covers is perfect for customizing each design.
The small armchair Do-Maru is named after the ancient armor worn by samurai warriors, made up of painted and decorated thick leather plates that covered and protected the hero’s body. Like the swivel armchair Almora, designed by Doshi-Levien in 2014, once again the shell of the seat is made up of a couple of superimposed bodies, softened by paddings that can be upholstered in either fabric or leather.
Outdoor collection
B&B Italia offers outdoor furniture as well. Gio, outdoor collection by Antonio Citterio is attractively displayed at the 10th floor showroom. With a contemporary classic accent dedicated to living in the open air, Gio has a range of sofas, end units, chaise longue, sunbeds, armchairs, chairs and tables.
Developed from solid teak structures with a special antique gray finish, the collection gives the wood a particular lived-in aspect and silver-gray reflective quality. The seats are equipped with seat and back cushions that make the Gio series particularly cozy and comfortable, and offer exclusive color combinations. To ensure a better insulation from the weather, all the padded elements have a polyester cover with waterproof treatment, and the fabrics are certified for resistance to weathering, UV rays, chlorine and sea spray.
