Manulife unveils program that rewards active lifestyle
Global financial services group Manulife has rolled out a pioneering program that offers premium discounts to Filipino customers who maintain an active lifestyle.
Under ManulifeMOVE, the more physical activities the clients maintain daily—as monitored by wearable fitness trackers synched with the program’s app, the more discounts they can get for the next year of their eligible policy.
“We’re asking Filipinos to move,” Manulife Philippines president Ryan Charland said Wednesday.
Charland said main target markets were members of Generation X and Generation Y (millennials)—or the younger and tech-savvy generations.
The program was based on research made by Manulife which showed that most clients wanted to be rewarded for being fit and use technology to help them achieve their fitness goals.
These clients also want something “simple, engaging and accessible,” said Jason Dehni, chief marketing and distribution officer of Manulife Asia.
