Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila, the first international serviced residence in Bonifacio Global City, recently celebrated its first anniversary with a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony and the launch of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) project for the benefit of Gawad Kalinga’s Kusina ng Kalinga.

The nonprofit organization provides basic meals to undernourished and underprivileged children, including those from La Union who will be this year’s beneficiaries of Ascott’s CSR fundraising drive. After the ceremony, cocktails and a program were held at the property’s newly opened 30th floor.

Since Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila opened its doors in late 2014, the property has already reaped prestigious recognitions such as the 2015 Philippine Property Awards for best in hotel interior design and best hotel development. It also won the best in hotel architectural design in 2014 and 2015.

Green property

Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila, also a green property, was recently given the Green Mark Award by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore (BCA), the first international serviced residence in BGC to be BCA Green Mark-certified.

The property had undergone BCA’s stringent comprehensive framework of assessment, which is focused on the building’s sustainable design, construction and operational practices aimed at reducing the adverse impacts of the building on the environment and occupant health over the entire building.

Citadines Salcedo Makati is the country’s first serviced residence to be BCA Green Mark-certified.

The BCA Green Mark evaluates buildings to primarily shape a more environment-friendly and sustainable built environment. The buildings are assessed based on energy and water efficiency, environmental protection, indoor environmental quality, and green and innovative features that contribute to enhanced building performance.
