Now Corp. boasts of new broadband service in NCR
Listed it company Now Corp. is projecting higher revenues for 2015 while outlining plans to cover Metro Manila with a new high-speed broadband service.
In a statement issued Thursday, the company said gross revenues from January to October this year hit P85 million, up 31 percent over the same period in 2014.
It plans to end 2015 with gross revenues of P95 million, mainly as it markets its core products like IT resource management, software collaborations, cloud services and broadband Internet.
The company said the National Telecommunications Commission recently extended by another five years its value-added services license. Now Corp. owns 19 percent of Now Telecom Co., a licensed telecom, mobile cellular and wired/wireless broadband company.
Now Corp. chief operations officer Mel Velarde said its new service was bundled with Now’s wireless broadband service that delivers “guaranteed 700 mbps to 1.4 gigabit per second, and wireless cable TV.”
The firm said this service could be delivered to any building within a 15-kilometer radius. “Metro Manila is just 600 square kilometers, which will be covered in less than six months,” the firm said.
