Net Park wins ‘Best Commercial High Rise’ award

NET PARK

NET PARK

Primed to set a new benchmark for the country’s best work environment, Net Park is a sophisticated, 38-story landmark on 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City’s financial broadway. Together with its twin Net Lima, the world-class office tower will redefine BGC’s skyline by the fourth quarter.

Net Park recently received the prestigious “5 Star Best Commercial High-Rise Development” award at the International Property Awards held on May 8, in Kuala Lumpur. For 20 years, the International Property Awards has selected and rewarded the finest property, architecture and interior design across nine regions around the globe. Representing the Philippines for the Asia-Pacific region, Net Park will also participate at the International Property Awards’ Regional and Global Finals in December in London.

Net Park’s iconic architecture was conceptualized by Chad Oppenheim, an internationally multiawarded, ecoconscious alchemist of urbanscapes. Together with top Filipino architects Anna Sy and Andy Locsin, Oppenheim fuses sustainability, functionality and elegance in the design and creation of Net Park.

The entire tower is shifted in place and wrapped in an optical play of aluminum ribbons, optimizing the path of the sun and allowing stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding city and buildings.

Oppenheim designed Net Park with efficiency and versatility in mind, each tower floor plate accommodating a wide range of tenant demands—from flexible spaces to long-term cost-cutting technologies, such as utilizing geothermal energy, rain and condensate water recycling systems and high performance glass walls that resist tropical heat and maximize sunlight penetration.

Environmental features

Green parks further accentuate the tower’s environmental features. In partnership with La Farge, Net Park will have the largest office building green roof space at over 3,000 square meters. Adjacent to the building at the corner of 5th Avenue and 28th Street will be a public park with a massive “Selfie” sculpture created by award-winning landscape architect and public artist Jefre.

Net Park is developed by The Net Group (TNG), the largest owner and developer of commercial office buildings in BGC, and the leading green office developer in the Philippines. Upon completion, Net Park will cover 65,000 sqm of leasable office and retail space, with an expected occupancy of over 10,000 people. By then, TNG’s office building portfolio will have a total occupancy of over 35,000 people, with tenants that include companies like Coca Cola, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, Citibank, Procter & Gamble, Infor, QBE, Oracle, Fujitsu and Philam Life.

Pilot project for Berde

In line with its vision of elegant and eco-friendly construction, TNG is the only developer to power 100 percent of its portfolio with renewable geothermal energy. In support of the Philippine Green Building Council’s green building certification process, TNG developed Net Park with the challenging goal of achieving a 5-star rating, the highest possible rating, under Berde (Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence), the country’s green building rating system for environmental performance. Net Park’s twin tower, Net Lima, was a pilot project for Berde and received a 4-star certification rating, currently the highest achieved Berde certification among green buildings in the country.

TNG is at the forefront of corporate responsibility, emphasizing on tenant experience, environmental stewardship and social responsiveness. With ecology, economy and aesthetics setting its office buildings aside from others, it continues to trailblaze in establishing the country’s best and most productive workplaces.
