Political, business leaders converge in PH

THE PHILIPPINES has played host to a number of high-profile and well-attended meetings aligned to the thrust of inclusive growth within the member-economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.

Among these are the Apec CEO Summit at the Makati Shangri-La built around the theme “Creating the Future: Better, Stronger, Together” and the Apec SME Summit at Green Sun in Makati City, with the theme “Innovation and Big Ideas, Pushing Boundaries.”

As the region’s leaders conclude the annual meeting, it is hoped that concrete steps will be taken by the respective governments so that the desire for more people to directly benefit from economic growth will be fulfilled.
