The essence and timelessness of natural stone have made this material the top choice for flooring tiles. With the onset of innovation and technology, Porcelanosa, the leading tile brand in Spain, brings the uniqueness of this material to ceramic, improving its technical performance for flooring and coverings for interior spaces.
The impressive Porcelanosa Grupo showroom has several flooring and wall tile options to choose from. New in the market is the Assuan Brown series by Venis, porcelain tiles that have the appearance of microcrystalline limestone finish. Offering a very natural surface finish, the effect simulates wear of the surface, giving the aspect of a natural stone that has had a moderate use.
A high level of resistance and limited water absorption make these tiles very practical even on wet atmospheres. Due to the technical characteristics of the porcelain tile by Venis, these key elements have been added to allow the configuration of resistance and high-traffic floorings and coverings for areas like the bathroom and kitchen.
Aside from all the beautiful floor tiles displayed at the showroom, Krion, the new solid surface by Porcelanosa, was recently presented at a well-attended cocktail party with over 60 architects, interior designers and homebuilders eager to find out more about this product.
Inspite of the pouring rain and heavy traffic, top architects like Ed Calma, Joey Yupangco, Gelo Manosa, Conrad Onglao and Rosalio Restubog arrived to check out this exciting material. Interior designers like Macie Lorenzo, Patricia Vargas, Jennifer De Dios and Bianca Tan were exchanging design ideas on how to incorporate the new Krion in their projects. The design experts were all enjoying a casual evening of Spanish wine and delectable tapas by Kai.
Krion is a new generation solid surface developed by Systempool, a company that is a part of the Porcelanosa Group. It is a material that is warm to the touch and similar to natural stone. It is made of two-thirds natural minerals (ATH—aluminium trihydride) and a low percentage of high-resistance resins. This composition gives Krion a number of exclusive features: it does not have any pores, it is antibacterial without any type of additive, it is hard-wearing, highly resistant and easy to repair, only requires minimum maintenance and is easy to clean.
The material is cut in a similar way to wood, allowing to cut the sheets, connect them and thermoform them to create curved sections. It is also possible to inject components during the production process, so as to create different designs and projects that are impossible to achieve with other materials.
Projects that have made use of Krion include hospitals and clinics because of its antibacterial quality as well as façades for hotels, homes and buildings all around the world because of its seamless and minimum maintenance feature.
Seamless sections can be created, preventing liquids from being absorbed and making cleaning and maintenance easier.
Offering a wide range of colors, Krion includes a white finish that stands out for its purity and neutrality in comparison with other similar material.
It is an ecological material, as it is 100-percent recyclable. All products made of Krion can be reprocessed and reused in the production cycle. For more information on Krion, please log on to www.krion.es.
