Outstanding IOUs hit P3.858 trillion at end-July
The value of outstanding IOUs issued by the national government rose to P3.858 trillion in July from P3.839 trillion a month ago as more debt papers were auctioned off that month, the latest Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) data showed.
Treasury bonds accounted for the bulk of outstanding IOUs with a face amount totaling P3.580 trillion, up from P3.564 trillion a month ago.
Outstanding treasury bills, meanwhile, amounted to P278.1 million, up from P275.2 billion.
Last July, the BTr awarded P16.9 billion in T-bills as well as P25 billion in reissued three-year T-bonds.
Of the outstanding T-bills, P87 billion came from the auction of 91-day debt papers; P92.8 billion from 182-day IOUs; and P98.4 billion from 364-day treasury bills.
As for the outstanding T-bonds, the three-year debt paper stood at P146.5 billion; five-year IOUs, P200.7 billion; seven-year Treasury bonds, P505.7 billion; and 10-year T-bonds, P406.8 billion.
Article continues after this advertisementThe 10-year agrarian reform bonds stood at P6.2 billion; 20-year IOUs, P336.1 billion; and 25-year IOUs, P250.3 billion.
Retail T-bonds stood at P804.9 billion; benchmark bonds, P850 billion; 25-year CB-BoL T-bonds, P50 billion; and onshore dollar T-bond, P22.8 billion. Ben O. de Vera
