Bamboo, Maneouvers kickstart MSAP Confluence Media Congress 2015
Manila, Philippines — Local music icon Bamboo and other celebrities graced the first day of The Media Specialists Association of the Philippines (MSAP) Media Congress on April 13, 2015 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila. The theme of this year’s congress revolves around the theme of “CONFLUENCE,” or the coming together of two bodies at one point. The 2-day event features talks from notable industry leaders in advertising and media. The event also highlights trends, insights, and best practices from brand champions in and outside the country.
Coming together
Singer Maricris Garcia opened the plenary with a heartfelt performance of “The Prayer” as invocation, followed shortly by an electrifying dance performance by The Maneouvers and Laserman. Bamboo also appeared on stage to perform “Come Together,” before the congress officially started.
This year’s notable speakers include local and international experts such as Nestle Philippines’ Paolo Mercado, ABS-CBN’s Gabby Lopez, TV5’s Chot Reyes, Yahoo APAC’s Greg Forbes, and more.

The booth features product displays from different titles under the IGC umbrella, namely Megamobile, Delivery Access Group, Print Town, Libre, Bandera, Hinge Inquirer Publications and INQUIRER.net, but the highlight display is focused on Inquirer Plus, IGC’s flagship digital subscription service.

Slated to take place every two years, the MSAP Media Congress aims to update media agencies, clients, and media organizations on emerging trends and industry developments. In 2013, the focus of the forum was on the noticeable shift in media consumption. This year, the discussion will include the importance of data and technology as new players along with their implications to the current media landscape of the Philippines.
Other prominent celebrities that performed during the event were love team Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, and The Voice Philippines champions Jason Dy (The Voice Philippines Season 2) and Lyca Gairanod (The Voice Kids).
