Henann Group unveils luxury resort in Bohol

The Henann Group of Resorts announced that Henann Resort Alona Beach Bohol, a sprawling 6.5-hectare property along Alona Beach in Panglao Island will be ready for occupancy on April 15. With 400 rooms, it will be the biggest resort property in all of Bohol.

“We continue the Henann legacy of providing world-class accommodations and top-notch service. As the province celebrates ‘Visit Bohol 2015,’ it is only fitting we formally open our doors to the public this year,” said Dr. Henry Chusuey, chair of the Henann Group of Resorts.

Facilities, amenities

Henann Resort Alona Beach Bohol (www.henann.com/bohol) boasts of the longest beachfront along Alona Beach. It features several room categories from exclusive pool villas to a presidential suite and rooms with direct pool access. The resort has three massive swimming pools with pool bar.

Currently under construction is a three-story, 2,160 square-meter convention center that can house up to 1,000 guests. Other amenities include an open-air venue for weddings, VIP lounge for special guests, fitness and business centers, and a mini shop.

Other famous Henann brands will also be operational by second quarter of the year. These include the Kai Spa, Sea Breeze Café (an all-day buffet restaurant) and Christina’s (Western fine dining).

The Henann Group of Resorts owns and operates Boracay Regency (soon to be called Henann Regency), Henann Lagoon Resort and Henann Garden Resort in Boracay. It has four more beachfront properties in Boracay which will bring a total number of 1,400 rooms in Boracay Island alone.

Natural beauty

Chusuey chanced upon the Panglao property during one of his ocular visits in Bohol in November 2010. He was captivated by its natural beauty and saw its potential to be the next big tourist destination in the country. This led him to quickly strike a deal with the former Swiss owner.

The province of Bohol is centrally located in the Visayas region and is only an hour away by plane from Manila. Land transfers from provincial capital Tagbilaran City to Henann Resort Alona Beach takes 30 minutes.

Aside from the Chocolate Hills and the Philippine Tarsier, Bohol is also famous for landmarks and attractions such as the Dauis Church, Blood Compact Shrine, Magsaysay Camp, and Loboc River. Popular tourist activities include bird spotting in Rajah Sikatuna National Park, diving in Panglao Island and whale and dolphin watching in Bohol Sea.
