MANILA, Philippines–The Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program (GTSDP) will conduct a one-day seminar on baking cakes and making bread.
It will be held at the College of Social Work and Community Development Building on Magsaysay Avenue corner Ylanan Street, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, on Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The daylong seminar will include an actual demonstration, food tasting and hands-on experience on how to make lemon squares, pineapple upside down cake, brownies, banana muffin, chocolate fudge cake, revel bar, banana bread, muffins, chocolate cake, butterscotch bars, chocolate oatmeal cookies, chiffon cake, butter cake, mocha cake, custard cake, brazo de mercedez, egg pie, carrot cake, food for the gods, fruitcake, sans rival, egg tart, floss bread, pandesal, cheese bread, donut, siopao, empanada, dinner roll, garlic bread, monay, tasty bread, pizza bread, strawberry cheesecake and new york cheese cake.
There will also be a bonus course on how to make decorated cupcakes, fondant cake with gum paste design, and basic cake decorating.
Other topics to be discussed are sourcing of materials, costing and step-by-step guide on how to venture into the baking business.
Participants will be given a certificate of training right after the seminar.
Lunch, snacks handouts and all raw materials needed for the actual demo and hands-on will be provided.
