Peso closes stronger at P44.115 to US$1

MANILA, Philippines–The Philippine peso closed stronger than the US dollar on Monday at P44.115:$1 from P44.180:$1 last Friday.

At the Philippine Dealing System, the local currency reached an intraday high of P44.035:$1 and a low of P44.120:$1 after opening at P44.050:$1.

The total volume traded amounted $658.5 million, down from Friday’s $924 million.
