Agata Mining ships more ore
MANILA, Philippines–Agata Mining Ventures Inc. (Amvi) in December shipped out two more cargoes of high-iron, low-nickel ores valued at a total of $1.34 million (about P60 million) from its mine in Agusan del Norte.
According to project operator TVI Resource Development (Philippines) Inc. (TVIRD), one shipment that was dispatched Dec. 13 comprised 55,300 wet metric tons (wmt) of ore containing 0.9-percent nickel and 48.49-percent iron.
The other cargo sent out a week later contained 51,900 wmt of ore with 0.89-percent nickel and 48.79-percent iron.
TVIRD said production in Agata “remained steady” and that there was a standing inventory of 41,863 wmt, which would help complete two more shipments expected to be made this month.
Also, Amvi has signed last Dec. 15 a deal with buyer Tewoo Hoperay (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. for two shipments of higher-grade ore.
