4 groups OKd for P4B transport hub project
MANILA, Philipines–All four groups vying for the P4-billion transportation hub project, known as the Integrated Transport System-South, have been cleared by the Department of Transportation and Communications.
That means Ayala Land Inc., Filinvest Land Inc., Datem Inc. and MWM Terminals, led by Megawide Construction Corp., have met the pre-qualification requirements for the project and that the bidding process can proceed, according to information posted on the DOTC’s website dated Dec. 9.
Transportation department spokesman Michael Sagcal said in a previous interview that the bid submission for the ITS-South project, which is located near the Food Terminal Inc. compound in Taguig, was set for April 2015.
Some of the interested groups were not cleared as their submissions were either incomplete or noncompliant with the DOTC terms.
Specifically, the DOTC mentioned Mahu TMAS Sdn. Berhad, which was proposed to meet the operation and maintenance experience for Ayala Land.
The ITS South project will connect passengers from the Laguna/Batangas areas to transport systems, including a planned North South Commuter Rail, city buses and taxis, the transportation department said.–Miguel Camus
