Finding the perfect home is difficult enough.
Choosing the right furniture to suit one’s home or unit, however, is often the more daunting task, especially since most Filipinos have this natural habit of accumulating so much stuff to the point of clutter.
To help owners create a more conducive living environment in their houses and units, the Power Plant Mall at Rockwell is set to hold a week-long furniture fair, dubbed “Designing Your Home 100 percent Rockwell” from Sept. 21 to 28.
Presented by The Grove by Rockwell, the fair will house under one roof the tenants of the Power Plant Mall, allowing them to showcase their furniture and other home accessories and décor.
Vienn C. Tionglico, marketing manager at Rockwell Land Corp. explained that participating stores will offer different items that would surely make every home a feast for the eye.
Muji, Japan’s minimalist all-around store has the fundamental things you need to maximize and unclutter space amid a busy and urban lifestyle, Tionglico said.
“You’ll find simple and practical things made from good and sound materials—no unnecessary frills or fancies, and it’s environment-friendly too,” she added.
Those who prefer stylish, modern and trendy home pieces can meanwhile check out Dimensione, the furniture concept store where one can find colorful and quirky accents perfect for contemporary living.
“Those seeking comfort can (go for) Simmons & Dwell, where you can find the softest mattresses to ensure you the best slumber,” Tionglico noted.
Another participant is Philux which, Tionglico said, caters to the needs of wood lovers.
The furniture fair will also have on hand Rockwell’s interior designer, architect Alice Erfe of Erfe and Associates, which will be creating a display of various dining, lounge and bedroom exhibits at the South Court of Power Plant Mall and in the Grove Model Unit.
Asked why Rockwell is conducting the event, Tionglico said, “We wanted to hold this event to showcase how it is to elegantly furnish your home, how to truly make it 100 percent Rockwell.”
“Aside from owning a unit in Rockwell, another desire for most is to have tastefully designed home, and this event can give everyone distinct ideas depending on individual style,” she said.
While the event will be open to the public, only Rockwell tenants, however, will be able to avail of special discounts.
“We will be offering special discounts, exclusive to Rockwell residents and unit owners, and we think this event is timely and will be very helpful for our new homeowners as One Rockwell was just turned over and Rockwell’s The Grove Towers A and B will be handed over to excited families and investors beginning June 2012,” Tionglico concluded.
