Vista Land launches P1.7-B condo project on Taft

Property developer Vista Land & Lifescapes has expanded its residential offerings that cater to university communities with the launch of a new residential tower on Taft Avenue, from which it expects to sell P1.7 billion worth of units.

Vista Taft 1344, which is set to rise by December 2019 across the University of the Philippines, UP Philippine General Hospital and close to De La Salle University, is pre-selling units at an estimated price of P125,000 a square meter.

This project, which is under Vista Land’s high-rise residential arm Vista Residences, is offering 759 units with an average footprint of about 21 square meters each.

The project is expected to break ground by November 2015.

In a statement, the company said that as the demand for clean and secure student housing options continues to grow, Vista Residences wants to be at the forefront of developing “homes away from home” for the ever-growing student population.

“The greatest benefit of living near your school is that it gives you time to focus more on your studies. Since transportation is not a problem, it gives you an ample amount of rest time and the right amount of energy to keep up with your school activities without having to worry about curfew or the availability of vehicles for you to get home,” said Vista Residences division head Elizabeth Kalaw.

Vista Residences’ other university projects are: Crown Tower University Belt (CTUB) and 878 España in Manila’s University Belt as well as Vista Taft, and Vista 309 Katipunan.

CTUB and 878 España are both in the university belt area in Manila, near University of Santo Tomas, the oldest Catholic educational institution in the Philippines. Vista 309 Katipunan will be across Ateneo De Manila University and close to Miriam College and University of the Philippines-Diliman.

CTUB was completed and turned over to residents in 2011 while construction of the other three developments – 878 Espanña, Vista Taft and Vista 309 Katipunan are under way.

Having sold out inventory in the past year even before construction of the projects started gave Vista Residences confidence to develop a new one under the university project series.

Like Vista Residences’ other university projects, Vista Taft 1344 is being pitched as valuable investments to parents who are seeking a safe environment for their children while still being able to give them the freedom to live on their own.

CTUB, 878 España, Vista Taft, Vista 309 Katipunan and Vista Taft 1344 are all equipped with modern day facilities like a swimming pool, function room, game room, gym, and garden – amenities not found in a typical dormitory. These towers also offer study lounges with Wi-Fi connection.
