Aussie graphic design firm enters PH mart
Australian startup Canva has put up an office in the Philippines to better serve the growing demand among Filipino firms for its online graphic design services.
“The Philippines is an exciting market for Canva because Filipinos have a strong design aesthetic, are English-speaking and are fast adopters of new technology,” Canva chief executive Melanie Perkins said in an e-mail.
Perkins said that the Sydney-based graphic design firm had received “incredible response from Filipino marketers, bloggers and designers who have been using Canva to create their own graphics.”
Small Filipino businesses have also been tapping Canva for their marketing materials, Perkins noted in a separate statement.
“[The Philippines has] been one of our best markets since we launched, so it made absolute sense to establish a local presence,” she said.
Canva describes itself as an “online graphic design platform which makes it simple to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, blog graphics, invitations and more.”
